That's true! I do like Scala much more than PPoint! Scala has
better and smotther transitions and animations are more easy to
integrade than in PP.

PP is good for pure text prsentations with some color
backgrounds! Nice is the thumbnail output of memos and its
ability to do b/w slides of a color presentation.
Scala Channel has the possibility to upgrade the presentations remotely
via modem, internet, ethernet or even satellite.

But PP is far away from Scala! I would even say that is is like
Windows Paint progs vs. Photoshop!

>There is also a PC version of Scala, but I haven't tried it.

There are 3 versions of Scala for PCs. One version is a free 60
Days demo.
The others are professional versions, they all can create any presentation with
all multimedia effects and ideas you have, and save them as a
ready useable homepage!

Scala for PC has even more features than Scala MM400. I tried the
demo version for 1 hour and had a nice trailer for our movie
theater: including previews mpegs of the forthcoming movies.
The nice thing with Scala transitions is that they can also be
applied to anims or mpegs! This way the running preview movies just
bounced inside the screen to be diplayed as a small movie on the
side of animated info text.
Amiga inc said that Scala will come to he new AMIGA OS! If it's
only half as good as Scala PC, than it will be a killer
application!

PPoint is just a better slideshow program.

Does anyone remember what it was that made Bill McEwen fall in love with
the Amiga? Thinking back, he was a PR man at the time. ;)

Basically, that was all I really saw it as.

However, from the stuff you said, I guess I will have to dig
up a copy of Scala and see what it really does.

Thank you very much for the information. : )
