This is also an issue for PC (and presumably Mac) users, whether they're using PGS or something else. In Windows, you can can disable the so-called "enhanced" screens from inside the printer's Postscript driver, but it's kinda buried: Go to the Device Options tab, scroll down the Printer Features list to the end, and change Levels of Gray to "Standard." There may be something similar on the Mac, too.
