This is just an FYI for other OS X users.

On OS X if a PDF is open with Preview then the file is locked preventing it being changed. This is probably a good thing, but (at least with 10.7 and newer) if you view a PDF in Preview to double check the output, see a problem, close the PDF and attempt to overwrite the PDF with the revised document from PgS it will fail unless you also close Preview.

Yes, even though you close the window for the PDF preview maintains a lock on the file.

Now for the fun part. Say you opened the PDF in preview at some point in the past. Since then you have closed Preview multiple times for viewing other documents. Each time you open Preview it will re-establish a lock on the PDF file!

So, if you use Preview to open PDFs that you create with PageStream the safest thing to do is to close Preview before doing an export.
