Now that the holidays are over, I can go back to figuring out how to use some of the fonts. Solved my original problem. All of windows fonts now show up in the fonts menu.

However, still can't use some of them. For example, if I have Times Roman on the page and I switch it to Adobe Garamond, the type disappears off the page. If I undo the action the type will reappear as Times Roman.

Any suggestions?
