Theo, Admfubar,

Thanks again!

And Theo, I hadn't realized I could place PageStream anywhere. Even so,
I'd rather have it in my Programs folder so I don't forget and lose
track of it. I've already placed all my personal files in another
partition, after losing those a couple times when I was using dual-boot
systems and wound up having partition problems and losing everything.
(Actually, I've had problems with Windows 7 becoming inoperable and
losing stuff, too. Don't know if it would've happened anyway, or if
registry cleaners contributed to the problem. So now I keep my data
elsewhere.

Great Bruce! So you are running PGS from your c-harddisk? Why you want
to do this? You can place PGS anywhere. So, why not on your d-harddisk
(or e, or f, or even USB -stick) ? Now you don't need permissions
whatsoever. You can place your documents, script, graphics folders also
anywhere but the c-drive. Theo

Windows 7, and presumably Windows 8, treats applications in the programs folder differently by increasing the restrictions on them. Sad and strange but true -- to evade some of the controls just install somewhere else.

My point is that installing somewhere other than the standard application folder avoids odd problems cropping up. Its up to you, but if I were running windows I'd create my own program folder and install everything there…
