I have been having the same problem printing from PageStream (both v4 and
v5) since purchasing the Win 8 laptop (HP). All my other programs print
without a hitch, However, PageStream gets no response from the "normal"
printer setup. I have to resort to the PDF printer driver (PDFfactory) and,
although that does print well, it's still the "extra" step.....and that's
not the way PageStream is supposed to print. There has to be something
peculiar about the way PageStream is addressing the printer device. I have
tried every option on the PageStream printer setup I can find - without
success. Anyone having a clue to a solution would be more than welcome to
chime in.

FWIW, I cant print to my Epson RX580 from Pagestream either. Other
Windows programs work fine. I use the PDF 'workaround' too.

That is another multifunction device and I can't say that I'm really surprised that you experience problems with it. Epson's site is devoid of any meaningful technical details about its printing so it is hard to gauge what might cause the problem other than my general comments at the beginning of the thread. A good yardstick is the level of linux support. As far as I can tell that multifunction device is not expected to work on linux which implies it does not function as a proper printer (Epson has its own printer language, Esc, which if the printer used it would work just fine on linux).

The multi-function HP printer referenced at the beginning of this thread supposedly supports postscript level -- for it I would recommend installing that driver (it says "via Universal Print Driver") on the spec sheet. If it actually uses postscript then PgS will work with it.
