I am now the proud possessor of a colour laser printer,
a Xerox Phaser 6600DN PS.

I bought it for two reasons.
1. My HP Photosmart 8450 was beginning to intermittently
fail to pick up paper, claiming that it was out of paper.
2. I hoped that a PostScript 3 printer would be usable
by PageSTream, which had not managed to print to my HP
since Windows XP.

So, this afternoon I tried to print last week's A4
double-sided document to it. PageSTream seemed to be aware
of the new printer. Nothing much seemed to happen
except that the document appeared on the print queue.
But that used to happen with the HP,
though no printing ensued.

So rather sadly I went downstairs to make a hot drink.
When I returned upstairs, I was surprised to see
a piece of paper had been printed.

Obviously, the good news is that PageSTream had
managed to print something on the new printer.
However, it was not correct and at present
I do not know how to correct it.

The document is centred on the A4 sheet
and the print area is 10 5/16 ins x 7 14/16 ins.
What had been printed was 7 10/16 ins x 6 ins in area
and almost exactly correct at the left hand edge
but instead of 2/16 ins from the top edge

was 2 1/16 ins from the top edge.
It had printed, as it were, the top left hand
parts of the document.
Why ??? And how do I correct it ?

Anyway for now I have just had to output to PDF again
and print using Adobe Acrobat DC.

Hmm. The only thing that comes to mind (and it is an obvious one) is to
make sure you have the paper size set properly in Print Setup. Did you
choose Postscript printer in print setup and not Windows Printer?
