I've found that pdf files that use iff files seem to die. So, what settings
should I use to make a postscript file for printing? Do I need to set the ppd
for the equipment I have at work? (xerox fiery rip) or do I just use a
standard postscript.

For use with Ghostscript someone recommended Apple LaserWriter II, because, so he said (HE is the titular of Net-Distiller...) it gives the kleaner output.
I always use it and it works perfectly with Ghostscript.

I'd like to know what dies! Are you using r5? r4 of course required the
display library update to get the bitmaps to work, but r5 should work fine!

Otherwise, when printing to PostScript you should always use the PPD for
the output printer, otherwise you usually have to choose the general one.

I'm using r5. It makes the pdf file okay, but when I get it to work, acrobat
won't read it (fails due to errors). I figure it was because of the iff pics,
since the first page, without iff, displayed okay.

I must have to choose the general then, because the printer at work for colour
is a xerox 5750 and for grayscale its a konica.
