Hello PageStreamAmigaBeta@egroups.com

Is there any way of loading `.WMF' files into Amiga PageStream?

I like Metaview. Shareware, and well worth it. IMHO.
Can be found on Aminet as gfx/conv/MetaView.lha

The solution is the shareware program Metaview, by Henk Jonas of
Berlin. There is a freely distributable version on Aminet under
gfx/conv (older versions available on Aminet CD ROM's); the
current versions can convert WMF to ILBM, CGM, GEM, DR2D, and
(most importantly for PageStream) AI-EPS, among other formats.

AI-EPS is very useful, as PageStream interprets it correctly and
preserves its stuctured form, allowing it to be dissolved and
manipulated (using the Reshape tool) within PageStream. The DR2D
conversion is less successful because of the limitations within
DR2D itself (particularly color rendition).

The shareware fee for the registered version of Metaview (allowing
ARexx access) is $20 U.S., and the program is well worth it.
