First, a belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
OK, back to business I thought I had uploaded all new versions before leaving, but I didn't have a chance to check anything. Kind of a last minute thing. Dan at Grasshopper let me know that others were having trouble getting the files etc, but I was unable to get online from St. Louis to fix anything. I did manage to get one email out
Anyway, thanks to Dan for trying to get it all fixed. He had to go to my place, meet a friend with a key, and try and get it straightened out, but he just couldn't get it done. Not his thing! Didn't help that I had all the important stuff with me
So, I am back home by myself to try and get this straighted out. I go back to St Louis to pick up my wife once I get it all up, and of course once the mother-in-law is back on her feet. (The surgery was sucessful, and all is well, it just takes an 84 year old who lives alone a bit longer to be back to self-suficient).
So that out of the way, I do have some new bug fixes and minor improvements to incorporate.
While I'm at it, for the Macintosh PageStream users, could you email me privately (or here on the list if you want) what OS and hardware you are using PageStream on? I've recompiled all the new stuff with the new Mac OS includes (which was a bitch) and I am looking into at least "Carbonizing" PageStream. The real question, is how many Mac PgS 4.x customers (or people who plan on upgrading to that) are using 68k Macs, or older OS (say pre 8.5)? I don't plan on dropping any support in the near future, but I am thinking about the future while looking at this.
For all the emailers, please be patient for a response. I have scanned through everything and reduced things down to about 100 emails that need a response from me ouch!
Good to be home! (well, sort of, but you know what I mean).
