One thing I would like to see in future versions of Pagestream is different
behavior of the scrollbar. Currently, when you use it to move through a
document, the page isn't refreshed until the scrollbar stops. This makes
it difficult to navigate when zoomed in to do detail work.

Most Amiga programs have the page visibly moving as the scrollbar is used.

this would not be a good idea as a default option. screen redraws are often
very time intensive.
but you can get what you want if you use your middle mousebutton to scroll
(press and drag) or by pressing CTRL (i think?) and click drag iirc.

i always use the middle mouse button.

maybe deron should consider the live-scrolling for the os4 version.
any news on this deron?

byebye...

I believe the Amiga version already has a Drawing pref item that covers
this (I can't remember what is in the interface...) but if not you can
certainly use the command:

SETLIVEUPDATE SCROLL ON DRAG ON

in the pref file (or execute from the arexx cli SETLIVEUPDATE SCROLL ON
DRAG ON SAVE)

This pulls down the entire screen on classic Amiga hardware. Alas, I don't
have a three-button mouse, so I can't get the results described above. I
am using FAST Amithlon hardware and as such would have no problems
whatsoever with realtime scrolling. I'm sure any future A1+os4 would be
fast enough as well. So is MorphOS. I think classic hardware is the last
man out.

I am using Amithlon with a two buttons mouse and the click (and hold) + Amiga lets me scroll around the page, not the screen (an hand-shaped cursor apeears).
