I have had Amigas since 1988 and when Progdir arrived I ignored it.
I always use full path for assigns.
Device (rather than volume):drawer/drawer/.........
Somehow I didn't trust Progdir.

I've had an Amiga since 1987 (must make me better than you), and I think
the introduction of PROGDIR: was a fabulous idea that should be promoted
as much as possible.

Indeed. The Amiga is very nice. Miss it a lot.

Well...the new AmigaOne system has been for sale for quite a while... ;)
Still experimental, but quite extraordinaire, IMHO.
