Same things here. Also I could say that the toolbar window contains buttons
that are about 3 pixels high and don't do anything, the Edit palette
contains an OK button (that doesn't do anything) and some empty space, and
the main view contains black or garbage. However, it's possible to go
through the menus and open various settings windows in their new MUI style.

I don't think this 'release' is meant to be useful btw, but to make it
possible for us to see that things are moving forwards!

Hello Johan,

yes, the GUI looks totally broken here too.

Well, totally broken may be a bit of an exaggeration, but it certainly
contains a number of incomplete items. The biggest problem right now is
just deciding proper mui classes to possibly use or roll my own for a few
gadgets that do not seem to exist in the current MUI release. Toolbar and
popups like in PageStream4.1 Amiga come to mind.

The main point of this release was that 1) it was the first time I had all
the modules compiled and running with PageStream. In the past I could do
nothing that required filters/engines etc (spell check,
load/save/import/export, etc). 2) a number of users were hollering that it
was all vaporware. Perhaps from their perspective, but not from mine Smile 3)
It is to the point that user input can be helpful in ensuring the best MUI
and MOS feature usage.

As all of the problems are within the app library, progress from here will
seem impressive Smile I'll try and put a list together of
unimplemented/broken items and put it in the Amiga readme for this weekends
release (yes, you will soon start getting weekly or biweekly updates. Hope
you like to download and try things!)

You got a toolbar? Lucky dog. How did you do it? Smile Seriously, you
probably mean toolbox. I still haven't decided if I should use one of the
existing 3rd party toolbar classes (the two I have seen don't play well
with commercial apps. I understand their point of view, but the market is
not what it used to be either...), or create my own. Did I miss a
commercial friendly MUI toolbar class for MOS?

Same for a PageStream 4.1 Amiga like popup.

As you see, the icons are not displaying right. The code is there, just not
working. Gotta go find the flaw and fix for next release...

Great. A bug cropped up in the last couple weeks for the display. Just
haven't found it yet. Trying to optimize displays etc.

No, useful is still a little ways off (but from here hopefully not to far).
Probably a couple more weeks (2-3) for useable but "save early, save
often". For example, no toolbar, but a funtional display and icons!

I did. I suspect you're using a timer to wait for a while before activating
the OK button on the first window. Probably there's some problem with the
timer usage that means it doesn't happen if anything else using timers is
launched. Well, that's my guess at least.

Yes, sorry! (it's possible to see what it is by closing it and opening it
again from the menu)

Could you be a bit more specific with what you mean here? Is the 'popup'
what happens when you click on an icon in the toolbox and alternatives open
up to the right of the first button?
