Dear Deron!

I know that the MUI version of PGS Amiga is a must to make
easy handling of all Amiga platforms.

This GUI changes brought another thing, the style guide of
the windows version. I really confused with the gui after
several years of dealing with the GUI of the 68k PGS4.

I know that you will bring to us three versions of Amiga
GUI, but is it mean three different layouts then?

Kind regards

Not sure what you mean exactly. The interface should be very similar to
PageStream 4.1 Amiga68k. The only things I can think of right now are that
I still have to do are:

1. Reverse the position of the OK/Cancel buttons and spread them out in the
dialog. (waiting to see if anyone notices or cares. It is not too hard for
me to do, and I might make it user selectable). I can do this because the
gui is now described with the buttons at the bottom in a group and the
OK/Default and Cancel/Escape buttons flagged.

2. The Project menu is now named File. This is anti-amiga, but more like
the rest of the world. I am ok with it either way.

2. The about box is in the Help menu instead of the File(/Project) menu.
Not sure if this one matters much to people.

It is possible others exist, but that is what I remember right now off the
top of my head.

well - on amiga the negative buton is placed on the right and
the positive one on the left. that's how to do it.

i'm fine with the other changes.

Best if it matches the Amiga style guide, with Cancel on the right.

Again, it should match the Amiga style guide. There is more in the first
menu than just file management.

IMO it should be called "Project", as in the Style Guide.

It does. I would never think of looking for About under the Help menu.
It is always under Project on Amigas.

If you can change this without too much trouble, it would be
appreciated. We do need to check this item before reporting bugs, so it
is used.

Maybe a browse through the Style Guide will suggest others.

You understand me precisely Smile. Thank you for describing my
exact problems behalf of me.

I know the rest of the world is using mainstream computing
at the first place, so they are comfortable with the same
layout on every platform.

I am using almost 100% Amiga for productivity, and I hope
others are feel the similar to keep every application in the
same mood, if possible.

Thank you again.

I definitely notice things like this and compared to the work required
to move from MUI to Reaction I think it would be silly not to take care
of something like this.

One could also reason that if it was worth changing for the Windows
version, it is worth changing back for the Amiga version again.

Hi Don Cox and others,

I prefer CANCEL on the right but I'm not hung up on that! Wink

Althought I tend to agree with Don Cox on this one, I "just a moment
ago" realized that in Amiga 4.1.5.6 the menu is 'File' and not
'Project'. I had not even noticed the change in 4.1.5.6!!! Smile

I would vote for keeping it where it was, but I'm not worrying about
this one either.
