I tried some themes from OS4Depot, here the results:

purple: complete freeze (need to reboot) on startup
and the last messege from SnoopDos is Open Emboss.rsc

tshog: sturtup ok, freeze creating a text frame, from SnoopDos
OpenLib muiwinscroller.class OK
OpenFont Bitstream Vera Sans Mono.font Size 14 OK
OpenLib workbench OK

860 times
OpenFont Bitstream Vera Sans.font Size 14 OK

novometal_IV: work well

I wouldn't just yet, as I can't get postscript printing to work.
I am still having some problems with fonts, so it may be that.

I would check that you can do all the things correctly that you can do in
4.1.5.6 before switching.

what do you mean?
i printed several documents to a postscript file and it looks fine.

right. as long as the toolbox is not completely working it is
sometimes hard to do things.
but the latest version really is a step forward!

And for me, the toolbar only shows a gray beckground. Impossible to do anything with it! Am I the only one?

I haven't tried that yet, I have only tried printing to par:, and
sys:devs/a1parallel.device.
neither produce output through the printer. i will have to try printing to a
file though.

par: (or ser _should_ work just fine.

However, this will not. The first time you try and print using that,
PageStream will overwrite your device with postscript code and you won't be
able to print from anything I suggest you check that file, and try again
with par:! It might work for you after all...
