Hello Deron and All,

I created a document and printed it to a PostScript file. It is a
one page document but the PostScript file was over 600,000 in size.
Most strangely, almost all if not all "fi" were turned into /225.
Thus, finding became /225nding. What is going on?

I like mysteries but this is too much. I use the documents in
teaching and pdf creation turns the /225 into nothing.

Thanks and talk to you later.

Well, the /225 is not a problem. It simply means that the character
is >127. By default, PostScript is a 7bit ascii file. Obviously the fi
ligature is not part of the basic ascii character set. The question is does
the character exist in the font, and is the font being reencoded properly.
Obviously one is wrong.

Ok, what version are you using? What font?

For now, just turn automatic ligatures off in the document.

I am using version 4.1.5.6 of PageStream4. I hope to go to
PageStream5 Pro shortly.

The font is Times Normal which is part of the fonts you uploaded. I
had used the font extensively before without any problems.

If I save the file to pdf, all is fine. It is only printing to
PostScript file that seems effected.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will do so.

Sure appreciate your responsive support as well as great programming.
