It seems that PageStream 41 requires gnome 2?

Followed an email example, from the archived, and I get the error
stating, cannot find gnomeui.2.so I think (didn't write the info down).

On SuSE 8.1 the file
libgnomeui.-2.so
is in the package libgnomeui (yes, gnome2)

Note the file I found is not the exact same name as you supplied, I
wasn't able to find any file by that name on my system. I suspect that
this is what you are looking for though.

You are correct. I was trying to remember the correct name.

Why gnome? Why not something more neutral?

Just curious, as I find both gnome & kde to bloated.

Guess they have to pick what they feel comfortable with. As a user I'd
have prefered qt (but I know nothing about programming)
Seems commercial ports often pick gtk (I think GoBE Productive for linux
was also going to use gtk before they went under).

I agree w/your position of gnome & kde to bloated but I've gotten used
to it. If Pagestream comes out looking as nice as gimp 1.3.9 and as
functional as Pagestream2.2 on the Amiga I'll be extremely happy

I agree with that.

The only reason I got PageStream, this time? I was cleaning out my desk,
and found the 3x5 card from SoftLogik, with my registration number
handwritten on it.

Funny enough, it's "signed" Deron Kazmaier Vice President, Research &
Development.

I hung onto that card, just for this day. Wink

There is two reasons QT didn't get picked. Its eventing was way out of
wack, and the big one: commercial apps are required to pay a royalty.
