I've seen this word mentioned a few times lately and was wondering what
meaning people attach to this word.

I've got the most recent PageStream archive installed on my SuSE 8.1
system. I can start the prog and windows open up. It will let me create
a new file but not open an existing one. I can't draw, enter text,
create objects...

The only errors reported in my shell are;
(PageStream4:14920): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtktable.c: line 582
(gtk_table_attach): assertion `left_attach < right_attach' failed

Is this running? or does the program actually do something and I just
haven't caught on yet?

Its not that I have any expectations of the prog (currently) but if it
is actually working then I'm missing out.

I look forward to clarification,

No, this is just some tests. It can't be used in any usefull way.

I believe this is the result all of us "owners" have got. But
hopefully history will repeat and in a year or so we will have a
usefull program and I finally can retire my old Amiga. Nowdays it's
only used to run PageStream.

Best regards,
Jan

Thanks Jan, I was just starting to fear that things were further along
than my results were showing.

Coming from the Amiga myself so I've learned about patience (and
disappointment), patience seems to pay off w/ PageStream more than it
does w/ most Amiga related products though ;-(

See ya

hello everybody.

Just a message to inform that PageStream does function on my Mandrake 9.0
distrib.

It does next to nothing though, and there is no readme file in the archive.
What are we supposed to test and report to help further developpement ?
