some days ago how to disable the usage of anti-aliased-font-rendering.

Now to answer myself it's quite easy: Assuming that you've a kind
of small start-script for PageStream: just add "export GDK_USE_XFT=0"
before evoking ./PageStream4...

If you'd like to globally disable AA for all gtk2 (and gnome2) apps
just add this line e.g. to your .bash.profile or even .xsession...

That's all... it's just my personal point of view - but AA-fonts are
too blurry for my eyes...
