Got PageStream installed, and running under Debian/sarge.

Got the first test page opened, and started tinkering with it.

1: Spell Checking does not function. No suggestive spelling for word(s)
2: No font selection available. Under Type -> Font, there are no fonts
listed.
3. Under "Print Setup -> Size" there are no options.
4: Same for Source.
--> Note. If there are options, they are not visible on my system.
5: As soon as I hit print, I get an error requester stating;
Application "PageStream4" (process 6625) has crashed
due to a fatal error.
(Segmentation fault)
and PageStream closes.
5a: If I select ps file to print to, it also crashes
6: Under Printer Setup -> PPD Selection, no mention of my Samsung
printer.

Yes, I do have CUPS installed, and functioning correctly. It works with
everything else I use, OpenOffice, Opera, Mozilla, and gv.

Thankfully, I have the page saved as test.pgs. It

It appears that the PDF saves correctly.

In re-opening the file, I can highlight the text I want to change fonts,
and can select a new font for them.

More later

I'll check into it. Probably not finding the dictionaries.

A number of menu items do not show the build items under it (Open Recent,
Scripts, and Fonts) because they are built before the window is open and it
doesn't have them. Something that is being worked on. Linux is the only
system we support that the menus are specific to the windows and doesn't
have a concept of application menus. So the app system that we use is being
extended to support both.

Sounds like you need to pick a PPD. I think we will be able to do away with
this and use CUPS ability to parse PPD files, but that will take a couple
more weeks. Until then, just find the closest PPD and select it.

It shouldn't crash because you don't have a PPD selected, but anything is
possible. I'll try this myself. Let me know if picking a PPD makes this go
away.

No problem, I just wanted to know where we were coming from.
