Hello, I am new to this e-group,

I am not new to Pagestream, I had used it many years ago on the Amiga.

I do have one question, I understand you have a Linux version.
I currently run 3 Ultra 5 Sparc Systems (Sparc 64) running Gentoo Linux,
which is a source based linux distribution.
I was interested in using Pagestream Linux, is there a sparc64 version
available. Or can one be compiled?

Hi,

At this time we are just working on the Linux x86 version. As none of the
code is in assembly, and the code already addresses
big-endian/little-endian issues, it should not be difficult to compile for
other processors. However, since I don't have a Sparc system here, the best
we could do would be to cross-compile for it and let someone else give it a
try. I presume that there exists such a cross-compiler. Now are you the
someone else you wants to give it a try? Smile

Yes. We use GCC on almost every platform now.

If you would like for me to test it on the Ultrasparc II processor,
I can do that, or if you need for me to compile it on Ultrasparc II I
can do that also.

Pagestream is a great product, currently there is nothing on Linux that
I know of that will do pantone colors
seperations and such.

Thank you,

Jack Boling
