Beats me. If they are distributing gnome-vfs, gnome-ui etc, then they
are distributing without all the proper dependencies.

I've been running Debian Sarge, and I didn't install the X-Windows
portion until I had the command line version running, then I installed
KDE, then I apt-get the missing libs (since they're Gnome dependent). I
think if you select install the Window Manager during your initial
install, you get both KDE and Gnome. I didn't want to waste the disk
space with both environments. When I've installed Gnome apts (e.g.,
glabel, the Zen interface, etc.), I've usually had to apt-get missing
libraries.

In this case, these libraries are not present in install pool. I must to
install from binary .tar.gz tarball.
