Hi,

Issue #1
I cannot print from Pagestream.
I can print from every other application on my system.

Configuration:

PGS = 5.0.2.4Pro
OS = SuSE 9.3 Professional
CPU = AMD Athlon 64
Kernel = 2.6.11.4-21.9-default x86_64
Desktop = KDE Core 3.4.0-28.2
Printing system = CUPS

Some info:

Tests (on simple 1 page document with some text and one box)
1 - Postcript File - No PPD selected; blank output, but 596K
2 - Postcript File - HP4ML PPD selected; blank output, but 596K
3 - HP7100Series Office Jet (Printer); job aborted - see ipp report
4 - HP7100Series Office Jet (ps file); job aborted - see ipp report
5 - save pdf; PGS hangs - had to kill; output was OK though

Only test 5 was able to produce output which I can then drag to my printer (or
print from Acrobat.

If I save my file and re-open in 5.0.1.37, I can print to Postcript then also
print by dragging or printing from KGhostview, or lpr $filename.ps

Alternately, I can save all contents on a page as a jpg, and place into PGS
5.0.1.37, and place as a graphic and print to file (postscript)

Issue #2
Cropped images do not save to PDF correctly (they remain "uncropped")
as does printing to ps incorrectly in 5.0.1.37.

Example output file:
http://mysite.verizon.net/john.chufar/Print-Test-Advanced-3.pdf

Page 3 images were cropped to NOT overlap.

I think there is a definite printing problem going on...

Unfortunately there is some bug in this version that prevents it from
printing. 5.0.1.36 is able to print without any issues as far as I'm aware.
I'm not sure what happened to 5.0.2.4, but hopefully it will be corrected
soon.

Known limitation with the export to PDF implementation of PageStream. It will
also not embed fonts, preserve arrow heads or bitmap fills. My recommendation
is to print to file and convert the postscript output with ghostscript.

The PDF export is, IMO, only suitable for simple layouts. In its defense it
does produce very quick and very compact output. The font embedding is
supposed to be implemented in a future version, but there is no timeline for
that I am aware of.
