So I just learned something new. The issue I'm having may not be
related to The Opteron system. I tried the newest demo on my system at
work and have the same problem, so perhaps the SuSE 9.3 installation
is the culprit. It looks like PageStream is Gnomish in nature. When I
install Linux, I set it up to use the KDE environment. It looks like
some Gnome stuff is loaded by default. I did load all of Gnome on my
home system to see if that would help, but I still have the same
problem. Anyone running PageStream on SuSE 9.3 and KDE?

Thanks

Joel

I'm using PgS with SuSE 9.3 and KDE. Deron is using SuSE 9.3, though I don't
know if he is using KDE or Gnome.

Maybe it does have to do with being an Opteron, though I believe there have
been others who successfully used PgS on SuSE 9.3 on a 64 bit system.

In the past PgS has been quite sensitive to the theme and gadgets/window
decoration styles. However, I just tried various settings on mine to see if
that influenced the black document window and it had no effect. I don't
believe I've seen a crash since moving to PgS 5.0.2.10.

It is what I develop PageStream on now. PageStream _should_ run on the KDE
desktop just fine.
