I had to re-install Ubuntu 12.04 32 bit, and now cannot get Pagestream to
run, I followed instructions in the Linux.txt file, even placed pagestream
in opt and local...

help, I think we need an installer in linux

The same here ...... it worked fine when I used Mandiva, but under
Ubuntu it seems to be no good Sad

The development also seems to have stoped.

I really hate to say this, but if I cannot get Pagestream working in Ubuntu
I may have to buy a PC, or use Scribus, wine is OK, for the short term, but
I have to reboot nearly everytime I shut down pagestream just so I can
restart it

Have you updated the instal of Ubuntu since you reinstalled?

Was this a clean install? or did you keep all your home directory setting intact from the previous installation?

Clean install, all working now.... all the trial and error I did new, just
because it seemed simpler/ less cluttered while trying to figure things out\
with the Libs and Bonnies scripts all is well
