Deron,
Here's some more:

Tabs:
I guess a paragraph is defined as characters between two carriage returns
(?)

If I have a line of text as so defined above and I have defined a tab stop for
that line of text. When I re-open the TAB in the TYPE menu it doesn't show me
the existing tabs.

If I want to set tabs for a line of text do I highlight the line, then click
into TABS in the TYPE menu?

My statement about using a right-arrow key
I have several paragraphs. For most of them I can, using the mouse arrow, place
the cursor anywhere within that paragraph.
For some other paragraphs when I attempt to place the cursor within that
paragraphs boundaries the cursor defaults to the start of the paragraph. The
only way I can place the cursor within that paragraph is to use the Right-arrow
key, on the key board, to move the cursor into the paragraph. I cannot block
define anything within this paragraph.

MASTER PAGE:
Well we might have a semantic issue here. Yes, I too can open the Master
Page window in the LAYOUT section.
But here's my problem. Say my document is displaying that it's on the 38th page.
I decide that I want to change something to do with the layout on the Master
Page. I click onto MASTER PAGE. I get the little window, but I'm still loooking
at page 38! How do I get to THE MASTER PAGE? I can't seem to find one anywhere.
Or How to I CREATE a master page? Where does it reside?
IN PGS2 there is a real, live master page which I can go to and place items
there which are to appear throughout the document.

To your query about focring extensions. Absolutely. It is quite difficult to
find a document without the proper extension and annoying that I need to go out
and "Add" the extension.

Sincerely,
Ralph Hayford

If what you are saying is that you can not place the text cursor inside
some paragraphs with the mouse directly, and that you must use the arrow
keys, then that is a new one to me! Could you provide a document, and tell
me which paragraphs you can not select properly in? Thanks. Email it to

If you double click on a masterpage in the document palette, it will go to
that page. Otherwise, click on the goto page icon in the bottom left of the
window and instead of just typing in a page number, select the masterpage
from the popup menu.

You create a masterpager when you create a document. You can create
additional masterpages using the document palette.

And in PGS3/4 there are unlimited numbers of real, live master pages which
you can go to etc!

Done! I also improved the extensions list in the open and save dialogs.
Your choices are All Files (like before), All Formats (which is what the
previous one was), and then each filter is listed and all the formats for
each filter (for example "IFF ILBM (*.iff, *.ilbm)) etc.

In fact, after the next release, if anyone has and suggested changes for
the default extensions for each filter let me know. Some like the old Amiga
word processors don't have a previously assigned extension that I know of,
so I made some up. Of course, most of those files won't have those
extensions and you will have to choose "All Files" anyway.
