Deron,

I see that you have fixed the outline, but only on screen. Because the print version of that outline font is much bigger and has no space between the characters. The left one is the printed one, the right one is the screen dump from PGS4.08d. Also it differs in sizes when it is printed in 360 dpi or 720 dpi. I print on a Canon BJC 620.

With picture information the filename of that picture or drawing can be seen, but not always. Maybe if the picture is hidden in many drawers, the file-information becomes too large, and the only thing which is shown is for instance: C:\My , which stands for C:\My Music\Rubbish\WhatEver\WhatElse\AnotherName\MaybeSoon\Filename.

In Reports all the right information is available.

Printing is almost fixed. It needs only a bit fiddling.Horizontally the image is about 1 mm to the left, or for you 1 / 25.4 of an inch. Vertically the image is shrunken 1mm.

Drawing a line, a square, a circle, gives the first time after you picked that item a very small example of what you want. The second attempt is better.

Still a leftover from PGS for the Amiga is that if you copy text and insert that on another place the text after the inserted is arbitrary. The text has another size, it changes style. On the Amiga I did this in PageLiner. That is less destructive. Even the inserted text is arbitrary for style. Am I doing this wrong all these times?

I know that you know it, but strange things happens with quote left and quote right, at least with Garamond.TTF. They have a lot of white space to the right. This is a font which came with Windows.

I’ve got a self-made font where some of the characters are higher then I intended. On the Amiga they are correct. Just to be correct: on the Amiga I use SoftLogik outline (.DMF), and for the Window version it is translated in Adobe (.PFB) with TypeSmith and Crossfont. In Microsoft-Word they are also wrong! Any suggestions?

When a document is saved as PDF, I notice that at least the Symbol-font doesn’t appear. Also the arrows are shown as lines.

Can the Window version of PGS have a dpi for a screen? So that a cd on the screen, in the actual size, is just as width as the real thing. So everyone with different size monitors can justify it.

Is the index working, so the TOC can be generated? If so, can you give me a hint how this works.

Closer and closer Deron…

Greetings

Theo Zweers

I'll look into it. Thanks for the report!

What solution would you like to see? Truncated paths (C:\My
Music\....\MaybeSoon\Filename), or a mulitline control?

I don't have an answer for you. Sounds like the translation didn't go right.

The system provides the screen DPI. I suppose we could add a pref item to
override it on the PC. Do others have a screen DPI problem on Windows?

I prefer this one:
C:\My Music\....\MaybeSoon\Filename)
Because I most certainly know where the picture is hidden, but not the
filename.
And if I don't know where it is I can see it in Report.

Yes please!

It's not a problem, I think that with every ## inch monitor, and used screen
pixels, the values are
different. So that pref item is very welcome. I think.
Any other are welcome to discuss this.

I agree. I'll put it down. Won't be next release, but I'll try and get to
it sooner than later.

Done. Documented in the readme for Windows release. Only a pref file item
right now. I suppose some day I could add something in the menus like on
the Amiga.
