Dear PS Amigans,

I've been unzipping my various Win PS files all night, looking for a set
of printer drivers, to no avail. When I installed the last version of PS
with them, I "threw away" all that I did not need - my Epson was at work,
so I didn't keep a driver for it at home. Now the printer IS home and I
desperately need to print a project on it and can't.

Is there anyone on the list who still has all of the print drivers from
either a download or distribution disc who'd be willing to isolate the
"800" driver, attach it and send it my way. If so, thanks in advance.

Otherwise, does anyone know what the last version was that was
distributed with printer drivers - perhaps I still have that version
around somewhere.

My W PS distribution CD will not read - it has mold on it or something,
even though I had put it in a case to protect it - I haven't downloaded
any version since 4.1.5.8 'cause I use this productively and don't have
time to mess with a version that's still "crippled".

Pagestream for Windows uses the Windows printer driver that is normally supplied with the printer when purchased.
You can also, usually, get the latest printer driver from Epsom's website.

PageStream doesn't have its own printer drivers on Windows (or any other
platform besides the Amiga). ***

You should be able to find the driver on Epsons web site then _all_ your
programs will be able to print to your printer.

*** (well, it does now in 5.0 for postscript printing to disk and bitmap
printing to disk, but that is something new)

Actually, I'm not aware of it being "crippled" now. I'm sure you will
continue to see people from time to time have problems and post on this
list, but that is a given and what this list is for! The only PITA that I
know of right now is that some postscript printers will get huge files sent
to them and take a relatively long time to print (part of the prerendering
that gets done that doesn't need to).
