Using Pagestream 5.2.3 pro for Windows I get the appearance of a Double
stroke, using a black clipart image (.ai)
I put a 50% transparent color for the image and .5 stroke, the stroke
appears to go around the image and overlaps it creating a second color even
though color and transparency in the same...

does this to fonts also, I use cyan as a test color and zoom to 3000%

A stroke by PageStream (and most other applications) definition is centered
on the line. That means for a box, 1/2 of the stroke width extends into the
fill, and 1/2 extends outside the fill. As the transparent stroke is being
drawn on top of the fill, you will get this effect. You need a different
result, you need to approach the problem in a different manor. For example,
if you are trying to get an entire drawing to "blend" with the background
evenly, then you might try the masking blend options in 5.0 pro.

Very Cool, I never noticed that option before and never thought about
turning a bitmap into a mask without somekind of box or drawing around it
(to crop it)... I can see this will be very Handy
