No idea on that one! Here is what I found:

This security update introduces a new file, Verclsid.exe. Verclsid.exe is
used to verify a COM object before it is instantiated by Windows Explorer

If this is explorer only, it makes no sense. The only serious changes made
in this release is print spool functions being used. No idea why or if it
would cause a com object to be fired up. No other bug fix or feature in
this release makes calls to a new set of Windows code.
