being new to Windows and PGS on Windows, I wonder if it is Window's or
PGS' fault that hitting the backspace key always results in
two "killings" rather than one...

Hi,

I have been able to reproduce it. It is a PageStream Window beta bug.

Ah, then I was yesterday busy using PGS 5.0.3.4!

I thought I was doing too much things at the same time. Not thinking it
was PGS.

I don't want to get on your nerves, but it would make PGS much more
usable if this was fixed...
