Mr. Ricks made the following post to the list: *********************** PS5Pro Bugs Posted by: "terry_a_ricks" terryricks@stic.net terry_a_ricks Wed Dec 27, 2006 8:22 pm (PST) David L. Stevens made an interesting observation. My Windoze system has an AMD Athalon XP 1250 CPU and 1.5 Gigs of RAM. It should be able to handle the printing of an eight page color document. I was printing at 720dpi resolution when I got the red lines in the last 1.5 inches. When I changed to 360 dpi low and behold I got an entire printed page, albeit a lower quality page, but yes, an entire page. David, thank you for your efforts in trying to solve this problem for me!
In many situations David's solution would solve problems and one could move on. However I don't feel that this is an acceptable solution. I still have PS version 4.1.5.8 installed. That version has no problems with my Epson printer all the way up to the 2880 dpi that the printer is capable of. I expect the new version of PS to SURPASS the older versions, that is why we PAY for updated versions. I'm not looking for a "work around" I want the %&*^*^ thing fixed!!! **************************** And a Merry Christmas or Happy Chanukah to you too! If you have been reading the list recently, you perhaps noted one of the continuing circumstances that have plagued the development of PageStream. It is indeed an unfinished product but wonderfully useable in most instances - and certainly preferable to some of the other offerings in the DTP field. Under this situation, and as this is supposed to be the season for understanding, tolerance and forebearance (to name a few), let's try to keep the "%&*^*^" to a minimum. I would definitely not want to be in Deron and Marna's shoes at this time for any price and am trying to figure out how best to assist them - and I would like to encourage others to follow up on. If Deron can continue development of PageStream, it is a blessing to all who use it. Now time to get off the soapbox. To all: Have a happy New Year of health, peace and prosperity.
