Hi,

Just got the Windows version of PageStream...
Tried 5.0.3.4 Pro beta & 5.0.2.10 Pro.
None of the Windows file requesters show up!?
(makes it kind of hard to use)
What I think are the PageStream internal requesters seem to work.

From the "File" menu...
Open - None
Save As - None
Save as PDF - O.K.
Collect for Output - None
Place Graphics - None
Preferences - O.K.
System Preferences - O.K.
Print Setup - None
Print - O.K. (But Print Setup from here doesn't show up)

What's missing???
The requesters work on every other windows program I run.

I expanded the downloaded ZIP files into their own directories
and run PageStream from the Icons there. (as per directions)

Windows XP Pro SP2 + Latest updates from Windows Updates
AMD Athlon 64x2 3800+, 2GB Ram, ATI AIW 2006 Video Card.

Also get a bunch of junk on the screen when dragging other windows
over PageStream's window, goes away when I "refresh" the window.
Other windows programs don't do that.

Bye,
/////ANDRE

Hi, Andre,

are you sure you got the whole PGS and not just the update? Lots of
people already using this PGS with lesser complains than you have Smile .

You should download: PageStream 5.0.3.4 beta Pro, and not: PageStream
5.0.3.4 beta update Pro.
The update can only be used if you have previously used PGS 5.0.#.#. It
is missing the not changed items.

(Strange things happened: I just got your e-mail 24-01-2007 at 23.30
hours, and you did send this at 23-01-2006 at 8.32. More than 24 hours,
is this snailmail.)

Yeah, I tried a few of them, most? Pro/non-Pro 5.0.2.10/5.0.3.4.

I'm "lucky" that way. :-/

One thing I somehow think might be something???
My WinXP system is running off my F: drive,
rather than the customary C: drive. (I do have a C: drive)
That happened by "accident" and it's too late to change now.
(for me anyway) and everything else is working O.K.

Is PageStream hard coded to look for C: drive?

I tried installing 4.1.5.8 for laughs and got an error message...
"An error occurred during the move data process: -113"
Is it looking for a directory on a C: drive?

Thanks,
