Because of spammers, years ago I changed the list to require new subscribers posts to be held for approval .I usually get an email saying that a message is awaiting approval, but for some reason I did see one from this post and it was just because I was cleaning up the pending spam that I found this one. Since older versions don't embed the fonts, you would get a different font used and hence a different display. In this case, you need to either use the base 14 fonts (helvetica/arial, times, courier, dingbats, symbol as I recall), or save a postscript file to disk and process it using a PS to PDF program or server. Or wait for the next beta which should fix the new PDF functions.
