WELCOME TO THE PAGESTREAM 5.0.4.4 Release! October 15th, 2007

This is a minor update to a major update (5.0.4.3) and should fix a
number of
serious errors in that release. This is released as a beta and should not
replace your previous stable release! If you are uninterested in testing
a new
release please wait until initial reports are posted online on our Yahoo
groups
support forums.

This release does _not_ include the coming fix to try
and address missing fonts when running on Windows Vista. A test dll will be
released in the next few days for that, but until then simply continue
to add
the c:/windows/fonts folder via Font Setup in the System Preferences of
the File
menu in PageStream.

Most of these bugs were recorded at pagestream.org in the bug tracker,
and those
bug id's are listed below. For more details on a specific bug fix you
can look those
bug ids up at pagestream.org.

+ American language module. Fixed spelling of "eighteen". Duh... This
one is _old_! And _I_ noticed.
+ WWW: Bug tracking at pagestream.org has improved searching by status
so you can find all unfixed bugs, etc.
+ Drawing borders when no border is installed no longer crashes (BUG#164)
+ Custom italics and backslants now display properly (BUG#176)
+ Ligatures no longer offsets automatic hyphenations points (BUG#180)
+ Ligatures output properly in mail merge variables (BUG#177)
+ WINDOWS: Text copied to clipboard should no longer loose the last
character (BUG#17
+ WINDOWS: Document file names with underscore show up in recent menu
properly (BUG#174)
+ New Nederlands spelling and hyphenation dictionaries at pagestream.org

+ Fixed buffer overflow in Bitmap printer drivers. The has been there
for a long time,
but the last release could not load from desktop under Windows because
of this.
+ Amiga: Fixed buffer overflow in Epson & HP printer drivers
+ Fixed HONDERD and OKTOBER in Nederlands(dutch) language module 1.0d
+ Amiga-1251 character set renamed to X-ATO-RU character set to match
other old Amiga character sets.
+ WINDOWS: Fixed color mapping of invisibles
+ WINDOWS: Fixed python scripting (BUG#181)
+ Really, added Adobe Distiller PPD files. No idea where they went in
last release..
+ Fixed bug introduced in 5.0.4.3 that crashes when outputting
postscript or PDF file. (BUG#182)
