Hi Deron,

I had just begun a new document under PageStream OSX v5.0,5.1 Pro when
I noticed a bug… one that is relatively minor (I think) and hopefully
easy for you to resolve:

When I entered a "Name" into [Layout] > [Document Setup] that
contained an extended keyboard character (™, to be precise), that
extended character appeared as random gibberish within the [Document
Palette].

Upon further investigation, it appears that ANY extended character
entered as a Document Name turns in some variety of gibberish in the
[Document Palette]… further, it extends to [New Chapter] names as
well!..

For example:
® appears as "`¬Æ"
™ as ",Ñ¢"
© as "¬©"
£ is "¬£"
¥ is "¬•"

Similar problems exist with international symbols, which always appear
preceeded by a " ⃞" (square box symbol):
é becomes " ⃞©"
ü as " ⃞ª"
Ñ as " ⃞ë"
ç is " ⃞ß"
ø is " ⃞ ⃞"
æ is " ⃞¶"
Æ is " ⃞Ü"

And… well… I'm sure you get the picture.

While I rarely use international or extended characters as Document or
Chapter titles, they are required on project I am currently working on
(mostly ®, ™ and ©), so I'm finding it particularly annoying under
this circumstance. Ack!

Any assistance or update will be most welcomed!

As always, many MANY thanks in advance for your assistance with this…
I hope it is something that can easily be corrected for the next update.

Regards!

Hello Jeff,

It looks like problem is related to the display of text in the Document
Palette (probably all the palettes). Inserting the document name into
the document itself, for example, shows the proper text. So while the
display may seem wacked, it should not effect the final output.
