When I choose a new document from the navigator, or choose new from the file menu, I just get a new document with one page. The manual says I should get a New Document dialog box, but I don't see it.

Do I have a beta? I must, if that simple feature is missing. I downloaded a demo, but the Mac readme says it's a beta. About PageStream says it's PageStream5.0.5.8 Pro 10/11/10, 14 day evaluation.

Hello Martin,

First, this is not really a beta. It should be fully functional. I'll
have to look in the readme to remove any references to such. Thanks for
catching it!

Second, the New Document behavior is just new behavior. Older versions
still work the way you mention, but the newest releases just create a
new document based on current settings. If you want the New Document
dialog, hold down the shift key when you choose New. To change the page
size of a document after it is created, pick Layout-> Edit Master Page.
You can also create multiple master pages, each with different page
sizes/orientations, using the Document palette.

It does bring up the topic of this and a few other changes that were
made based on feedback from a few users. I wanted to put them in and let
folks play with them to see if they like or dislike them. Now sounds
like a good time to see which it is!
