Hi Deron:
Yet some more.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - --
*** Copying and Pasting Objects/Duplicating objects/To customize the
duplicate offsets: ***
I suggest that somewhere around this paragraph it would be good to
mention 'that if a precise position of a duplicate is required, better
than changing the preferences is to use the Transform function (with
link of course).

*** Editing Objects/To edit a polygon with the Edit palette: ***
"Enter the number of sides, from 2 - 99." You told me in a previous
email that the number of sides were from 3-999?

Should this chapter not also mention the editing of the table object,
describes the editing of a grid? I guess not since a table is edited
with the Reshape tool.

*** Moving Objects ***

*** Scaling Objects/To scale an object with the Edit palette: ***
When I want to scale an object by 50% I just enter 50 in the two boxes
in the edit palette with the number and a % sign, so I suggest another
sentence be added.

*** Reshaping Objects ***
*** Object Transformation ***
*** Aligning Distributing Objects ***
*** Compound Objects and Composite Paths ***
*** Cropping Graphics ***
*** Masks ***
*** Anchored Objects ***

*** Setting Object Attributes/Trapping ***
Description missing.

At the end of the chapter, the next chapter link "Objects Styles" should
have the 's' removed from "objects".

*** Object Styles ***

*** Line, Fill and Color: Applying Line, Fill and Color Attributes/The
Color Palette ***
The three paragraphs that describe Object, Text line/file and note, are
all a direct copy and past from directly above. Don't think they need
repeating that close together.

*** Line and Fill Options/Fills/Basic fills ***
The image here (Actually, through the whole chapter.) is out of date, as
it doesn't show the Trapping tab.

*** Line and Fill Options/Fills/Basic fills/To set the fill pattern:
***
In the Edit Pattern dialog box, the scrolling swatches of patterns are
working better that they used to in the older version of PgS, but there
is still a problem. They scroll nicely, but, vertically, there is less
than half the swatch displayed, so a large part of the bar is blank. My
guess is that it has something to do with the high resolution I'm using
on my Windows monitor.

*** Line and Fill Options/Fills/Screens ***
I've never ever got this feature to work on my windows machine. I just
tried again this morning. I drew a box, filled with 40% black and set
the screen to dot, 30 frequency and angle of 45, and printed to
postscript. Doesn't work.

ok.

That it is! Changed.

This chapter (Editing Objects) does mention editing the grid. Reshape does
also, since you can distort the grid with the reshape tool??

Done. I think the original intent was to explain that math is allowed in
the text boxes.

Thanks. Should refer to line, fill and color (which I've renamed to
line, fill, color and trapping though it gets to be a bit wordy..)

>At the end of the chapter, the next chapter link "Objects Styles" should

Done.

Good catch. The first copy was not supposed to be there!

Yuck! Thanks. Not up to this big a job today. I'll put it on my to-do list...

OK, I made the box a little taller. My patterns were about twice as wide as
the height. Not sure if that is what your problem was.

Thanks, I'll look into it.
