Hi,

In the last issue of c't - a very competent and well credited German
computer / high-tech magazine - dtp programs were tested. Usually c't is
well known to not really like Windows and support every platform. Amiga is
at least sometimes mentioned.

I was very sad not to see a test of PageStream. The tested programs were :

-PageMaker 6.5 Plus (DM 1,400.-)
-InDesign 1.5 (DM 2,400.-)
-RagTime 5.0/5.5 (DM 1,500.-)
-Ventura Publisher 8.0 (DM 1,600.-)
-QuarkXPress 4.1 Passport (DM 5,000.-)

There was no winner (like most of the times in c't) as every program had
its good and bad parts. The prices are indicated in brackets and
Deutschmarks. Prices in USD should be about the halve.

I would strongly recommend to send a copy of PageStream for Win, Mac and
Amiga to this magazine. The journalist may be reached at se@heise.de while
the homepage (German only) is www.heise.de/ct

I think PageStream is a good program with a bad marketing and that's a
shame IMHO.

Ingo
