Hello,

I created a page with a number of columns, something like this:

------------ ----
| A | | B |
------------ ----
------------------
| C |
------------------

I would like to link them together so that when I am done typing
in column A, the tab key will take me to column B, and so on.
The problem is that if I delete the text in A, the text in B is back
spaced into A. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

Jack

Tabs in PageStream are set for each text frame, and cannot be set to
move from frame to frame.

For what it appears to me you are trying to do, you'll need to unlink
your frames and use the mouse to set your cursor into the next frame.

Jack,

If I understand what you want to do, you can insert a column break
(Type>Break>Insert Column Break) at the bottom of column A. This will allow
you to delete characters in A without changing the break point.

This may explain the problem I have when I try to use the tab key to
advance: all the text in that colums disappears. Although using
the return key works ok.

Thanks Jim, that did it. Smile
