Hello Genii,

Can anyone help me to get the SViewII Import script working with my AMIGA
Pagestream4.

I have altered the two lines I think need altering but without success.

My PGS is in DH1RazzageStream and the SViewII is also in DH1:SViewII

Any help greatly appreciated.

Well, have you registered SViewII? The unregistered version lacks an
ARexx port, so the script wouldn't work in that case.

Hi!

Yes, fully registered version of SViewNG. I get no error message and there
is no attempt to load SviewNG.
SviewNG works fine when called directly from its own icon.
This has worked in the past. Most puzzling.

Yes, it is. Here's what the script does: passes the filename of the
graphic to SViewII and asks it to load the graphic, then save it to the
clipboard as an ILBM image, then asks PageStream to paste from the
clipboard.

Oh, I might see the problem. Make sure that it's looking for SViewNG
instead of SViewII. When you launch SViewNG yourself, can you find the
graphic in the clipboard after running the script? I remember having had
that difficulty where PageStream would fail to paste the graphic
although it was there in the clipboard.

Yes it does address SviewNG and no, there is no graphic in the clipboard.

I don't know where to go from here.

You know, this would be a lot easier if Andreas owned a copy of
PageStream3 or 4, don't you think? He's interested in writing a graphics
filter to allow PageStream to use superview.library, but he doesn't have
PageStream to test it on.

I monkeyed with it for a while (I'm no ARexx guru, not by a LONG shot),
and after much futzing around I managed to get the script to load a
graphic and save it to the clipboard, but only when SViewNG was already
loaded, and only by launching the script twice, then PageStream failed
to recognize that there was anything to paste, either through the script
or manually (via RAMIGA-V). I had to use the *Place Graphic* menu
command (RAMIGA-L) to import the graphic from the clipboard. The
filename was, properly, "0", without the quotes, of course.

Having also launched TCO beforehand (REXXC:TCO opens ARexx's global
trace console---REXXC:TCC closes the same) I caught errors claiming that
there was a label not found in line 46, then in 48, then in 65.

Like I said, I'm no ARexx guru, and I think we could use some help on
this one.
