Have you tried this printer on another machine? Preferably with a different os? Lets make sure it isnt hardware. The next thing to lok at is driver, anyone else reporting double page output using this printer and hardware/os settings? you might want to check on other forums/mailing lists. After uninstalling the CUPS driver have you reinstalled the PS driver, and tried printing?
