Thanks to all who had suggestions. Admfubar pointed me towards Thai fonts (seems obvious in retrospect.) The bitmap output is what I do use but it has to be as perfect and hi res as possible. My bitmap to vecotor trace program needs a good image for goodresults. The Thai font works fairly well at that. Thanks for the quick responses.

A bit late and I'm not 100% sure what your goal is, but a while back I needed to include some non-English text in a document. In my case it was only in separate text objects (not the main article).

What worked best for me was to copy the text from FireFox and paste it into PageStream. If the source didn't happen to be on a web page and copy/paste didn't work I've copied into the FireFox URL field, copied that, then pasted into PgS.

Using this technique I did Chinese and Arabic (I don't recall if other languages were involved) and it worked quite well.
