Hello,

I am making good progress this afternoon I have (re)learned a lot.

In a prvious message, I asked how to remove the rectangle srrounding a
text of image.

Let me give you an example:

I have a drawing of a blue ball. The ball, it round.

I place this image on top of another image (a large red square) in a PS
document.

When I look at the resulting document, I will see a large red square,
with a white square that has a blue ball in it.

I never put the white in the image, it is just there because there is no
other color there when it was created in the drawing problem, and when
placed on top of another, the convnetional square shape shows, even
though only a round ball was designed.

I want to know how to remove this white fill color that I never put in
my logo.

I hope that this is clear.

As for the text question relating to filling and opacity, this is all
worked out!! ThanksSmile

Joseph

The only way to achieve what you want is to have the image in .gif
format with transparency switched on. It`s nothing to do with PageStream.

i'll take it that this ball image wasnt created in pagestream. What format is this file in?
as mentioned by tony cook, a .gif image type will support transparency layers, so will .png files.

Do you have any type of painting program? if not then click on over to;
www.gimp.org
there are versions for most operating systems. you load your ball image , add a transparency layer (if needed), select the background color and the erase it. then save and reload into pagestream

Select the image of the ball and go to menu, Object, Mask, Generate Mask.

Works for me; your mileage may vary.
