I guess you are using a Windows version.
I can use PGS 5.0.5.8 for weeks now. No problem with opening and saving
documents, copying and pasting. But that can change any moment (startup
from my computer). So it's not always!

When I have the the problem (not opening a document), I *_can_* open a
new document. I can even save it. I can place a picture (no text in it)
in it, and save it. When I only use the text mode, and place it in the
document, it won't save anymore.
So the bug, PGS or Windows, is related to fonts/text.

When this happens I can use PGS 5.0.5.7. No problems.

*If Deron (!) agrees*, I can send you PGS 5.0.5.7 privately. You can
place this beside (next to) PGS 5.0.5.8. You can, however, only use one
of those at the same time. So, quit one, and open the other.

OK, I don't know if I have any PGS 4 documents left. But I do have PGS 3
(yes, I still have Cloanto - emulator for the Amiga - hidden on my
computer, so I have the old folders with the still intact documents).
When I open a document, PGS asks for font replacements. I click on OK.
Then it asks for (external) graphics. I click on cancel.
Then I have the PGS 3 document in PGS 5.0.5.8!

So, it looks like it is a different bug....
