At least on OS X:

- open the object style dialog
- select a style
- click "Clone…"

nothing happens...

I get a Paragraph Style dialog/requester when I click on the clone button in the linux version. it might be a bug in the mac version.

you did it with paragraph style -- first step "open the object style dialog", try again with the object style dialog
