Just thought I'd mention that when you use external images, if you change the default preview resolution (under EDIT/INFORMATION) to anything other than DEFAULT (i.e. COARSE, MEDIUM) everything looks normal and behaved normally (the filesize gets smaller) until you start another session and re-load the document.

Then when you look at a page where you changed the preview image resolution, the image frame remains the same size, but the preview is screwed up (i.e. it's much smaller than it should be and the image resolution is back to DEFAULT).

This is a real bug (Windows version 5.0.5.Cool.

How can I report it?

This makes reducing the resolution of preview images (in order to keep file size down) useless.

I remember on my old Amiga 4.1 version, though it worked, and was a VERY useful function due to limited memory on the Amiga.

It's also needed when working with massive resolution documents in Windows (on my latest project I am working with 50 images all 6000 pixels wide approximately).

Also, the XDPI and YDPI values for external images as shown in EDIT/INFORMATION are always strange and I believe a symptom of the same problem.

Just sign in under Account athttp://www.pagestream.org/
Then
go to Documentation/Bug Tracker and below there is an icon named
Add Bug.
Fill in the details. Make sure you add the right PGS version (5.0.5.Cool,
what OS you are using or All if you think not only your OS has the same
bug, what category this is (Drawing tool???), summary (after changing
Preview Resolution to all but Normal, (external) image resolution
outcome is bad), and Keywords (image resolution).
And in the rest the information how and when you get this bug (what you
wrote above).

Waiting for PGS 5.0.5.9 (or 5.0.6.0) Smile

Oh, and don't wait too long with sending the bug (click on Preview)
after you opened the Add Bug. After a while, half an hour(?), the
PGS-site thinks you are no longer there, and you are not signed in
(loosing all your information). You can't change anything, after you
send it to the PGS Bug Tracker, only add new comments.
