Hi Tim!
When I double-click on the Arial font in my Fonts-folder, I read in the Window: Arial (Open Type) Then Name of font: Arial Version: 5.10 OpenType classification, digitally signed, True Type Outlines (Well, I translated this from Dutch, should be okay, but could be wrong somewhere).
So, I presume it is an Open Type.
Theo - still puzzled about the True Type Outlines...
