This is my continuing battle with fonts for PgS. Running 5.05.8 pro on Windows 7.  The system fonts obviously were changed from XP, but I keeping finding fonts in MS Word and in Photoshop that don't show up in the system fonts folder used by PageStream.  Is there anyway to access those fonts or do I have to download then into as useable folder?

I also hate what Yahoo has done to the forum.

Don,

You can download the PageStream fonts from the P/S web site, thats what I have done for Windows 8 and install them in the Fonts dir so that PS can find them as per the Prefs etc :)

You need to find where they are stored and just add the font path. The
other possibility is that they are bitmap fonts or some other format
that PageStream does not support.

Sorry to break in here.Over a year ago my computer was seriously hacked. Since then I haven't been able to generate any contact with Pagestream support. I thought it had just disappeared. Even with a new computer I could raise nothing current about Pagestream. I have continued using the program. I was delighted when this communication appeared in my e-mail. I have a current problem

About a week ago, I was using Pagestream when Windows7 decided it was updating my computer. For some reason I didn't find a Window to refuse the update. After updating was finished, 4 updates had been installed. A reboot was required.

Tried to return to Pagestream, I could do nothing with Pagestream. I start Pagestream, but get no work screen. Sometimes one of input or information windows appear, but disapear when the pointer is moved over it. The only thing I can do is close the program.

I have tried several things: Deleting and reinstalling the program. still the same behavior
I remember that some users needed to change a startup file. I can't locate one on my computer. Must be looking in the wrong place.
I have tried searching for the Pagestream window on the edges of the screen. No luck this time.

I have searched pagestream.org. Found nothing
I have tried PageStreamSupport@yahoogroups.com, but can't access it.

I need help!!!!! Please

I'd try rebuilding the user prefs/settings for pagestream
open a window or my computer .. and navigate to  C:\Users\(user-name) where user-name it the account you use for your computer.
you may need to un-hide system files to do this.

look for a directory calle pagestream there, might be .pagestream ,  rename that file to pagestream-old.
then start pagestream. and see if starts like it should.

Sorry it's taken so long to respond,  but have been tied up for several weeks (remodeling my son's house). So far have solved most of the problems; still fighting with a couple of fonts that  I've downloaded.  Appreciate all the help
