This is my continuing battle with fonts for PgS. Running 5.05.8 pro on Windows 7. The system fonts obviously were changed from XP, but I keeping finding fonts in MS Word and in Photoshop that don't show up in the system fonts folder used by PageStream. Is there anyway to access those fonts or do I have to download then into as useable folder? I also hate what Yahoo has done to the forum. Don Castonia |

In pagestream's fonts setting is there a C:\Windows\Fonts in the dialog that opens? if not add that path and click update. then check your font list On Sun, 22 Sep 2013 15:16:27 -0400, <dcastonia@yahoo.com> wrote:

Don, You can download the PageStream fonts from the P/S web site, thats what I have done for Windows 8 and install them in the Fonts dir so that PS can find them as per the Prefs etc :) On Mon, 23 Sep 2013 07:16:27 +1200, <dcastonia@yahoo.com> wrote:

Sorry to break in here.Over a year ago my computer was seriously hacked. Since then I haven't been able to generate any contact with Pagestream support. I thought it had just disappeared. Even with a new computer I could raise nothing current about Pagestream. I have continued using the program. I was delighted when this communication appeared in my e-mail. I have a current problem
I have searched pagestream.org. Found nothing

I'd try rebuilding the user prefs/settings for pagestream open a window or my computer .. and navigate to C:\Users\(user-name) where user-name it the account you use for your computer. you may need to un-hide system files to do this. look for a directory calle pagestream there, might be .pagestream , rename that file to pagestream-old. then start pagestream. and see if starts like it should. It sounds like your PgS profile has an invalid window position so that everything is being produced off screen. There are two ways this can be approached, and both involve the prefs file. 1. Edit the prefs file to remove the erroneous lines from them 2. Rename or delete the prefs file and run PgS to start things over again In the latter case I would just rename the prefs file -- that way you could just copy some of the information back into it from the original file (I'm thinking registration). But either way it works. The location of the prefs file on Windows is something like: C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\PageStream5\PageStream5.ini The directory AppData is normally hidden so to see it in the file manager you will have to change Windows preferences. As I hardly use Windows anymore I'm afraid some of the details of how to do this aren't ready to mind. Tim Doty

Sorry it's taken so long to respond, but have been tied up for several weeks (remodeling my son's house). So far have solved most of the problems; still fighting with a couple of fonts that I've downloaded. Appreciate all the help Don Castonia ---In PageStreamSupport@yahoogroups.com, <pagestreamsupport@yahoogroups.com> wrote:

Just a thankyou for your replies. I now have a working Pagestream.
