Just an FYI: if PgS is working for you on OS X then do *not* upgrade to Mavericks unless you are okay with PgS breaking. This has been reported to Deron so I hope a fix is forth coming, but things I have tested:

documents cannot be opened (no file dialog appears, application continues to function)
documents cannot be saved (no file dialog appears, application continues to function)
fonts are not available (e.g., select from menu, type, results in crash)
document view does not refresh (right click on page with object tool to trigger refresh)
copy/paste of text does not work
palettes that use text to display are empty (e.g., scripts, styles)
palettes that use icons display even the text (e.g., color, page, document)
preferences dialog is missing text in section selector (though sections can still be selected)
preference file dialogs (e.g., to select text editor) appear and seem to work
preference save as dialog appears

I’ve probably missed something, but the bottom line is that it isn’t usable at the moment.

Just a guess but are some files missing?

I haven’t had a real need for PageStream for years, so this would not have stopped me from moving to Mavericks even had I known there was a problem.

That said, running 10.9, I just started up Pagestream.

File dialog appeared, random old document chosen, opened fine.

File dialog appeared, document saved with same name to different folder.

Not here — i.e., works correctly, no crash

> copy/paste of text does not work

Confirmed.

Clearly problems are there, but there must be some “variability of expression”.

Hey! Thanks for sharing.

For someone who was having problems with PgS previously I suppose doing the update might even improve things? Who knows…

Just my 2cents.

Pagestream 5.0.5.8 seems to work OK but 5.0.5.9 Doesn't even show a file selector (finder) for a document

Hunh.
Somewhat to my surprise, I am running 5.0.5.7

Hey! Thanks for that! I downloaded 5.0.5.8 again and sure enough it appears to work (albeit with bugs that are fixed in 5.0.5.9, but it works)
